Library Board Minutes

SPECIAL MEETING

Call to Order:

A special meeting of the Stevens County Library Board of Trustees was called to order on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, by Chairman Annette Sosa. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel and the closing of the library on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Others in Attendance were Heather Augustine, Laura Hull, Lisa Whitham, Charlotte Veatch, Director Eunice Schroeder, and Assistant Director Stacey Strickland.

Executive Session:

Immediately following the call to order, the Chairman asked for a motion to go into executive session. Lisa Whitham moved and Laura Hull seconded that the meeting go into executive session for 30 minutes at 4:15 p.m. Motion carried. Those in executive session were Annette Sosa, Heather Augustine, Charlotte Veatch, Laura Hull, and Lisa Whitham. At 4:45 p.m. the Board came out of executive session. Heather Augustine moved and Lisa Whitham seconded to back into executive session at 4:46 p.m. for 30 minutes. Motion carried. Those in executive session were Annette Sosa, Heather Augustine, Charlotte Veatch, Laura Hull, and Lisa Whitham, Eunice Schroeder, and Stacey Strickland. The Board returned to regular session at 5:15 p.m. No action was taken following the executive session.

The Board and Directors discussed closing of the library the Saturday following Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was decided that for this year the library would open on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Individuals that want to work will volunteer for their choice of Saturday.
